LASIK

LASIK is a surgical procedure that corrects visual conditions such as nearsightedness, farsightedness, and astigmatism. During the surgery, the certified ophthalmologist will create a small flap in the surface of the cornea using a specially designed laser. Then, with a different laser, the surgeon will position the eye for treatment, by reshaping the corneal surface of the eye. By doing this, the surgeon is able to correct your vision without the aid of glasses or contacts. After the procedure, Dr. Womack closely follows the healing process to ensure that there are no complications or that any type of infections have occurred.

You will need an optometrist to perform the pre- and post-operative examinations. Dr. Womack performs these for his patients and new patients seeking LASIK care. Dr. Womack is affiliated with nJoy Vision located in Oklahoma City and can also work with any other LASIK provider.
