Comprehensive Eye Evaluation

During your comprehensive eye evaluation each year, Dr. Womack performs a check of your eyes’ visual function. He completes a full health assessment from the tip of your lashes to the back of your eye. This includes an exam of the eye’s anterior chamber, the cornea, iris, biological lens of the eye, conjunctiva (the clear membrane that covers the white part of the eye), lid, and lashes (sometimes you can have debris on the lashes or lice that affects your eye). The goal is to ensure disease is not affecting the eye from the front to the back and in between. Under certain circumstances, Dr. Womack may even be able to diagnose systemic diseases such as high blood pressure and diabetes.
